ScreenCloud is a global leader in the digital signage industry. ScreenCloud has a team of 120+ employees, 10,000 customers and has ambitious growth plans of doubling from $25m to $50m ARR. The vast majority of these customers were using the product at a low engagement rate.

ScreenCloud’s CEO (Mark McDermott) has a strong offline presence, however, where their buyer and user hangs out online, LinkedIn, the presence was low.

The Objective.

To position the CEO of ScreenCloud, Mark McDermott, as the digital signage industry authority on LinkedIn. A.K.A “The Screens That Communicate” guy.

Keep ScreenCloud front of mind with its new and existing consumer base. Educate his audience on the benefits of digital signage and share how signage can be improved.

Shake Solution.

Elevate the voice of the CEO to become ScreenCloud’s content champion, using premium talking head video to share his expert knowledge, opinions and thought leadership to his audience.

From the start, we introduced a campaign called “Error Message of the Week” which has evolved to a weekly post and viral industry talking point. This has created a huge flywheel of content and conversations for Mark and his team.

After the initial traction period, we introduced Behind the Scenes footage to grow trust & authenticity with his audience plus by using our Shake network gained him podcast guest appearances.

In addition, we implemented alongside the ScreenCloud team a monthly webinar series to deep dive into specific pain points and industry talking points, making ScreenCloud and Mark the go-to authority in the industry.

Multiple conversations leading to new revenue pipeline have been attributed to Mark’s content on LinkedIn.

Conclusion.

Mark came to use here at Shake with a clear aim, to grow his follower base and to interact with his audience more frequently by staying front of mind with his brands commercial strategy integrated. Never wishing to drive the brands marketing and sales strategy too hard, he saw a clear route to implement a premium content strategy through Shake Content. 

My favourite anecdote from Mark’s journey so far with Shake is that in January 2024, he came to us saying “I want you to make me the digital screens guy” and then in July 2024 after working with the team at Shake for just under 6 months, a random unknown person, tapped Mark on the shoulder at a music concert and said “Are you that screens guy from LinkedIn?”
